The BabyHawk Mei Tai can carry a newborn up to 40lbs. The straps are 3 3/4 inches wide and the straps are lightly padded to give you enough cushion for a long comfortable ride! The BabyHawk Mei Tai can fit up to a women's size 22/24 or a men's XXL. We also offer xl straps for those that prefer or need longer straps. The actual body size of the carrier (headrest vs toddlerhawk) is not relevant to the size of the individual wearing it. You can wear a newborn in a BabyHawk Mei Tai!
