Peonies Baby Slings Measuring Information

It's really important that your new Peonies Baby Sling fits you and your baby properly, if you want it to work for you. Please thoroughly review the following Peonies Baby Slings Measuring Information if you are ordering a custom ring sling.

Here's how to find the right size for you and your little one!
  • Take your measuring tape and put it loosely around your torso like a sash
  • Pinch the tail end of the tape between your breast and collar bone.
  • Let the tail end of the tape fall down towards your hip.
  • Take note of where you would like the tail of the sling to fall.
    • Remember: you may want extra fabric if you are using the sling for breastfeeding or to use the tail to protect the baby from the elements (in this case it should fall upper to mid-thigh).
    • Note: All decorative panels on Peonies Baby Slings measure about 12" up from the bottom of the tail. Make sure your sling will not be too short, making adjustments difficult, due to the panel being too high.

**Please refer to the size chart when placing your order and provide us with your size and/or measurement if you are in between sizes.**

ARE YOU PREGNANT OR SHOWING?

Follow these instructions to get your accurate measurement:

1- Have your partner or a friend place a soft measuring tape at the outside edge of your shoulder in the middle (where your shirt seam is). It will not be accurate if you try to do the measurement yourself.

2 - Have him or her pull the tape measure tight, coming down across your back and around to your opposite hip bone. Make sure they come to the top of your opposite hip bone in the back but close to the side of your body as shown. (The side to measure to is where the outside seam of your pant leg is.)

3 - Triple the measurement. Then look to see where you fall on the sizing chart above.

Note: If you plan on breastfeeding you may want to add 5 inches to your measurement to give you extra room for baby to lay down in cradle hold and to use the tail as a nursing cover.

Women with larger busts may also want to add to their measurements.
